1883–2001 Faces of Liberty 5-pc Set
The Faces of Liberty
Lady Liberty has been the personification of our nation since its founding, and so she has remained a constant upon our nation’s circulating coinage. This five-coin set brings together five “Faces of Liberty” from across our history. Your set includes:
- First up is a Liberty Head Nickel. Issued from 1883 to 1912, this classically designed coin is more than 100 years old and is the first nickel ever to feature Lady Liberty!
- Next comes the 90% silver Standing Liberty Quarter. Struck from 1916 to 1930, it features the first full-bodied image of Liberty on a silver coin.
- The third coin is the silver Mercury Dime, which features the famous design of Liberty in a winged cap. The coin was struck from 1916 to 1945
- Then comes the silver Walking Liberty Half Dollar featuring Liberty wrapped in an American flag. The coin was struck from 1916 to 1947 and the design is still used to today on America’s annual One Dollar Silver Eagle series.
- And finally, you’ll receive the 2001 New York State Quarter from the U.S. Mint’s 50 State Quarters Program. It shows the most famous image of Liberty in our nation, the Statue of Liberty!
Each coin is in Circulated condition and all five come beautifully housed in a custom story folder and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. It’s an amazing set that perfect for any collection and a wonderful way to introduce a youngster to the hobby. Order one for yourself and one for someone you know who would appreciate the history and lore of these coins!
