The traditional Maple Leaf design is featured on the reverse of each coin along with the dual dates of 1988 and 2023 while the obverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, one of the last coin releases that will feature the image of the beloved monarch who passed away on September 8, 2022. Plus, each coin was struck with a unique Reverse Proof finish.
