Treasures of the U.S. Series Overview
The Treasures of the U.S. series celebrates all 50 states through high relief coins, available in brass or silver, that incorporate materials tied to each state's unique history and character. The embedded "treasures" range from minerals and gemstones to real diamonds and dinosaur bones; all sourced from the states they represent. The series will be issued in waves of five in the order each became a state, starting with Delaware and concluding with Hawaii.
Each coin bears a dollar denomination legally authorized by the federally recognized Mesa Grande Sovereign Nation. This denomination is distinct from USD and is not US legal tender. Mintages are strictly limited to 776 silver and 1,776 brass coins per state, and this series is exclusive to GOVMINT and its marketing partners.

Design Features of the Treasures of the U.S. Series
The obverse was co-designed by David Ryder, who drew inspiration from the medal he received for his second term as U.S. Mint Director and from the stained-glass eagle in the Library of Congress rotunda. On the obverse, you'll find a fierce eagle with an American crest, surrounded by stars, stripes, laurel leaves, and arrows.
State-specific reverses feature the state name, flag, and its flower or animal, along with additional motifs tied to local identity. At the center is a capsule holding a natural material associated with that state. Examples across the wider program include real diamonds from Arkansas and genuine dinosaur bone fragments from Oklahoma.
About David Ryder — The Vision Behind the Treasures of the U.S. Series
These coins were co-designed by our brand ambassador, David Ryder, marking his first-ever coin design collaboration. Ryder served as the 34th and 39th Director of the U.S. Mint, the first two-time Mint Director in over a century. During his tenure, he oversaw major initiatives, including the modern revival of the Morgan and Peace Dollars, the redesign of the American Silver and Gold Eagles, and the rise of special privy marks on U.S. coinage.
Ryder's Note:
"If I had known about these when we did the State Quarters collection, the U.S. Mint would have produced these instead!"

Upcoming States in the Treasures of the U.S. 50-State Program
The next group of states will follow soon, continuing the statehood sequence. Five-coin sets are expected to be issued bi-monthly across ten total waves, beginning with Delaware and concluding with Hawaii. Each wave of releases will bring new, symbolic reverse designs and new materials tied to the state being honored.
Collectors can follow the complete 50-state journey with the official 50-coin presentation box, designed to house the complete raw-coin series.
