Get Your Piece of American History
World War I was one of the bloodiest conflicts in human history. Brutal new weaponry, trench warfare, and media coverage that brought the front lines to people well beyond the battle lines rendered it so horrific that it became known as “the war to end all wars.” Once the war finally ended, the United States wanted to have a coin that celebrated peace, and Anthony de Francisci’s Peace Dollar was born. The coin was struck from 1921-1928 and 1934-1935. 2021 marks 100 years since the inaugural Peace Dollar issue.

First Time in Over 100 Years
Featuring the same designs created by Italian American Sculptor Anthony de Francisci, the 2021 Peace Silver Dollar differs from its vintage ancestors only in that instead of being struck in 26.73 grams of 90% fine silver, it has been minted in .858 troy ounces of highly pure 99.9% silver. The rest is all still there—the same profile of Lady Liberty wearing a crown of rays modeled after the design of the Statue of Liberty. The model for Lady Liberty was 23-year-old Teresa Cafarelli de Francisci, the young sculptor’s wife. The familiar reverse returns as well showing an eagle at rest holding an olive branch above the inscription “PEACE.”
