Almost 100 Years Later, These Pilgrims Have Finally Landed at Our Vaults!

The Mayflower was headed toward the Dutch territory of New Amsterdam in 1620 when she was blown off course and landed at Plymouth Rock rather than Manhattan. The Pilgrims proceeded to found their own colony, setting off a grand course of events that would eventually lead to the establishment of the United States of America. This 1920 Pilgrim Commemorative Half Dollar was struck to celebrate the 300th anniversary of that very landing.

Designed by Cyrus E. Dallin, a Boston sculptor, the obverse of this commemorative depicts Pilgrim Governor William Bradford carrying his bible. (The artist's mark of "D" can be found below Governor Bradford's elbow.) The reverse shows the Mayflower navigating through the rough waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

This classic commemorative is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful U.S. coins ever minted and has been sought after by collectors for nearly a century. Many have been melted and others have been worn down in circulation. But now, you can get one in in the incredibly high grade of Mint State-66 (MS66), graded by either Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) or Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). The service that assigns the grade of MS66 to your commemorative will vary between the two.

Make this top-quality coin a superb asset to your collection. Order yours today!
