2021 T2 American Silver Eagle 2021 T2 American Silver Eagle

The Biggest Event in Silver Dollar History
President Ronald Reagan changed the way Americans invest in silver forever when he signed the Liberty Coin Act in 1985. The President viewed that act as a way to give Americans an opportunity to own physical precious metals without turning to foreign markets. Since that time, the American Silver Eagle has been the most popular silver coin on the planet. Its beautiful, iconic design inspires collectors, and investors love it because it’s struck in one full ounce of 99.9% fine silver, and is guaranteed for weight and fineness by the U.S. Government. These coins have been so popular that between 1986 and 2020, over 535 million were struck. That’s more than HALF A BILLION coins, easily making Silver Eagles the best-selling coins in the world.

Hugely popular now, Silver Eagles may soon become even more popular!

For the first time ever, the coin’s design is changing
For over 35 years, the Silver Eagle has featured an iconic design with Adolph Weinman’s beautiful Walking Liberty on the front, and the Heraldic Eagle by John Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint, on the back. Now in 2021, the coin is changing. The Heraldic Eagle reverse design is being replaced by a “Landing Eagles” design created by Artists Infusion Program (AIP) artist Emily Damstra. The design was engraved by recently retired U.S. Mint artist Michael Gaudioso, a classically trained sculptor, designer and painter with more than 40 U.S. coin and medal designs on his resume. Also, Michael Gaudioso worked with John Mercanti the 12 Chief Engraver of the US Mint and designer/sculptor of the original Silver Eagle. The new reverse design depicts an eagle about to land from a flight as it grasps an oak branch between its claws. Additionally, thanks to technological advances, the Adolph Weinman design on the front represents a closer representation of the artist’s original vision, and now includes his traditional initials artist’s mark beneath “In God We Trust.”

Collectors Crave “Key Dates”
Collectors crave coins that are considered “Key Dates” that represent something significant in the history of that coin, like firsts, lasts, lowest mintages, new finishes, and new designs. And here is the first-ever design change of the Silver Eagle, making 2021 a very definite Key Date in Silver Eagle history. But, there’s something else to consider. Normally, when the U.S. Mint makes a design change or introduces a new coin, it happens at the beginning of the year and coins get a full release of 12 months. But in 2021, for the first time ever, the Mint is making a change HALF-WAY through the year. That could be very significant for collectors because with just a half-year release, it’s possible this will be one of the lowest Silver Eagle mintages ever. Which could in turn make 2021 a DOUBLE Key Date, with both a new design and a low mintage. Demand for these coins is already sky-high, but if the mintage ends up being low, on top of the new design, watch out!

Collectors Also Crave the Best Quality
For any collectible coin or proof, collectors want the “best of the best,” the finest quality available. With coins, quality is measured by grades on a 70-point scale. A grade of 70 represents absolute perfection, even under magnification. There is nothing higher. There’s simply no better condition—and no grade is more coveted by collectors. Of the hundreds of thousands of Silver Eagles sent for certification, only a fraction return with the coveted or MS70 grade.

Perfect with a First Day of Issue Pedigree
Each of the new design Silver Eagles in these sets is certified in flawless Mint State-70 (MS70) condition by either Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) or Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) both leaders in third-party authentication and grading services in the world. Each coin has also been designated with the most-desired pedigree of First Day of Issue. Pedigrees are additional attributes of a coin that can increase its collector desirability—and the pedigree collectors want most on Eagles is First Day of Issue, which means they were released the very first day by the U.S. Mint.

Hand-Signed Labels with Custom Packaging
But that’s not all! Two of the Silver Eagles in these 3-Piece Sets will be encapsulated by NGC in a tamper-resistant holder, featuring an exclusive label, with a hand-signed signature by engraver Michael Guadioso, the sculptor who engraved the new design, and by John Mercanti, the engraver who designed the original Silver Eagle reverse. The third coin in the set comes graded and encapsulated in a sonically sealed holder by PCGS with a hand-signed signature by artist Emily Damstra, the artist who created the new design Silver Eagle.

Can You Imagine?
Can you imagine having a first-year 1878 Morgan Silver Dollar with a label hand-signed by designer/sculptor George T. Morgan in your collection? Or a first-year 1921 Peace Silver Dollar with a label hand-signed by designer/sculptor Anthony de Francisci? Right now, you can get a 3-Piece Set of first-year, new design 2021 Silver Eagles, in flawless MS70 condition, with First Day of Issue pedigrees, and with custom labels signed by artist Emily Damstra, engraver Michael Gaudioso, and designer/engraver John Mercanti.

Do not drag your feet on this. The demand for Silver Eagles is exponentially higher than it was when the coin was first introduced 35 years ago because today’s Silver Eagles appeal to all types of buyers. Nobody knows how low the new design 2021 Silver Eagle mintage will be, but it’s a fact that only a very small fraction of those coins will earn the coveted First Day of Issue pedigree and be certified MS70. Secure yours today.
