This Hated $2 Bill Is Now Cool!

In the history of the United States, only three dates of $2 small-sized notes were circulated with bright red seals and serial numbers—1928, 1953 and 1963. First issued more than 90 years ago, these notes were heavily circulated, and then most were redeemed and destroyed. Retailers and banks abhorred the $2 Note since there was not a standard spot for it in cash registers and teller drawers. In the 1920s, it was considered a jinx to receive one, and it was not allowed in some casinos and racetracks. Even today, some retailers refuse to accept them because they think they are counterfeit or "play money."

What you have here is a 1963 $2 Bill featuring a stunning vignette of Thomas Jefferson and Monticello, bearing a distinctive red seal and serial numbers unique to Legal Tender Notes.
