The design was inspired by the legend of Minnecotah on Maiden’s Isle in Lake Kampeska, which celebrates Minnecotah’s unwavering commitment to honor and true love. In addition to Laruea, the design features a white pelican, raspberries, and elements from rich Lakota legends. The phrase “Honor to the Giver” appears at the bottom to serve as an inspiration for people to honor their commitments.
