Full 20-Coin Rolls of Liberty Head Nickels

Struck more than 100 years ago, the Liberty Head Nickel was used in daily commerce from 1883 to 1912. It’s a coin that’s often overlooked – we all know the Jefferson Nickel, and collectors are always happy to secure vintage Buffalo Nickels. But the Liberty Head Nickel is what came before! It was also struck in far fewer numbers than today’s nickels. For example, the final year of the traditional Jefferson Nickel (2003) had a mintage of 824 million coins. Meanwhile, the Liberty Head Nickel’s mintage was just 601 million – for the entire series!

Here’s your chance to secure a 20-coin roll of these coins in Good to Fine condition – for less than $2 per coin – that’s a heckuva bargain for vintage coins that are well over a century old! Plus, each roll will arrive safely housed in a numismatic tube and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Dates vary.

  • FAMOUS LIBERTY HEAD NICKELS – Designed by Charles E. Barber, the Liberty Head Nickel was struck for circulation from 1883-1912. The obverse features Liberty facing left while the reverse features a Large Roman numeral “V” to signify 5 cents. Early versions of the coins omitted the word CENTS from the design, prompting some crooks to plate the coin in gold and pass them off as $5 Gold Half Eagles.
  • MORE COPPER THAN NICKEL – Each Liberty Head Nickel weighs 5 grams and was struck in 75% coper and 24% nickel and measures 21.2 mm in diameter.
  • LEGAL TENDER – These coins were 5 cents legal tender in the United States.
  • NICE COLLECTOR GRADE – Your 1883–1912 Liberty Head Nickels will come in Good to Fine (G-F) condition with all designs visible and full lettering present. Dates vary.
