New Mercanti Design Is An Instant Classic

Struck by Australia’s world-renowned Perth Mint, these dazzling coins once again feature the work of the legendary John Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint. The design shows Australia’s largest bird of prey from a unique perspective as if it were flying overhead, its giant wings spread and silhouetted by the sun. This series from the Perth Mint is a collectors’ favorite, both for the incredible Mercanti designs and for its numismatic importance as the first-ever collaboration between a former U.S. Mint Chief Engraver and a foreign world mint.
