Complete Set Of Type 1 Silver Eagles—Signed By The Legendary John Mercanti!

In honor of the 35th Anniversary of the American Silver Eagle, the United States Mint made the first ever change to the coin’s reverse design midway through 2021—switching from the Heraldic Eagle design created by 12th Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint John Mercanti, to the Eagles Portrait design by artist Emily Damstra. That means, from the coin’s introduction in 1986 through the last minting in 2021, there were 36 years of American Silver Eagles with the Heraldic Eagle reverse. This collection contains all 36 of those American Silver Eagles!

Key Dates From More Than 30 Years Of Silver Eagles

This set is loaded with key dates from the series, including the first-ever Silver Eagle from 1986, the low-mintage 1996 Silver Eagle, and the 2021 Type 1 Silver Eagle, the last-ever release to feature the Mercanti Heraldic Eagle design. Each legal-tender $1 bullion coin was struck in a full ounce of highly pure 99.9% fine silver at a variety of U.S. Mints and have no mint marks. That’s because Bullion Silver Eagle coins do not have mintmarks. From 1986 until 1998, they were produced in San Francisco; in 1999 and 2000 they were produced at both the Philadelphia and West Point Mints. Since 2001, the Uncirculated Silver Eagles have been produced solely at West Point. Again, with no mintmark.

High Grade Silver Eagle Set Signed By John Mercanti

Not only is this 36-year collection complete, but every coin will arrive match-graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) as being in near-perfect Mint State-69 (MS69) condition, just one point away from perfection. It’s a distinction that means these almost-flawless coins showcase impressive full strikes and indistinguishable imperfections—well above and beyond the quality of the vast majority of coins in the series.

And there’s more. Each coin will also arrive encapsulated with a label personally signed by the legendary John M. Mercanti, the U.S. Mint’s 12th Chief Engraver! A giant in the numismatic world, Mercanti has produced more coin and medal designs than any person in U.S. Mint history.!

The Official Silver Bullion Coin Of The United States

Why is the American Silver Eagle one of the most collected coins in the world? Is it because of its United States provenance and guaranteed silver purity? Or maybe it’s due to its three-plus decades of history, originating in the Reagan administration as a way to spur private silver ownership? Perhaps it’s a result of the coin’s stunning combination of Adolph A. Weinman’s classic Walking Liberty with John Mercanti’s Heraldic Eagle? There’s only one clear answer: It’s because of ALL those reasons—and more! Since 1986, the American Silver Eagle has been the official silver bullion coin of the United States. Despite silver values constantly changing, the demand for U.S. Silver Eagle coins has grown steadily over the decades and today is at an all-time high.

No matter why you love collecting American Silver Eagles or how you’ve come to appreciate them, this set is just what the doctor ordered! Don’t miss out! Act right now!!

COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • WEINMAN’S CLASSIC WALKING LIBERTY . . . – Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty design first made its debut on the 1916 half dollar, lasting three decades before bowing out in 1947. In 1986, this iconic image was reborn for the Silver Eagle with her exquisitely detailed beauty remaining on the coin ever since.
  • . . . PAIRED WITH JOHN MERCANTI’S HERALDIC EAGLE! – This stoic and symbolic Heraldic Eagle that appears on the reverse of each coin offered here was created by designer John Mercanti—the most prolific coin and medal designer in United States Mint history! Mercanti’s design appeared until 2021 when it was replaced by a new design making this 36-coin set a complete Mercanti T1 Silver Eagle collection.
  • EXPERTLY STRUCK IN HIGHLY PURE SILVER – The craftspeople of the U.S. Mint are known around the world for their skill and attention to detail. It’s this talent that transforms each one-ounce planchet of 99.9% fine silver into a beautiful piece of numismatic art.
  • UNITED STATES LEGAL TENDER – Each 2021 Silver Eagle bullion coin is one dollar United States of America legal tender, as seen on the coin’s reverse.
  • NEAR-PERFECT UNCIRCULATED CONDITION – Each coin in your 1986–2021 Silver Eagle Type One 36-Piece Set right has been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) in near-perfect Uncirculated Mint State-69 (MS69) condition.
  • SIGNED BY JOHN MERCANTI – These coins will be sonically sealed in acrylic holders and encapsulated with exclusive labels that were personally signed by the legendary John Mercanti, the U.S. Mint’s 12th Chief Engraver.
