1999–2001-D 50%+ Off Center Nickels 3-pc Set NGC MS63–MS65
Oops-A-Daisy! Jefferson Nickel Off-Center Error Set
Jefferson Nickels, featuring a profile depiction of founding father and third United States President Thomas Jefferson, have been around a long time—introduced in 1938 and struck until 2004. Here’s a scare and unique set of error coins that puts a new spin on the coin that honored the “Sage of Monticello.”
Scarce And Unique Error Coins
An error coin is one that was struck incorrectly by the mint. Error coins come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and types—and the sheer assortment of minted errors adds thrill and uniqueness to collecting them. Mint errors are not common, however, because The U.S. Mint has instituted a strict set of quality control protocols, so it’s not often that errors escape the mint.
NGC-Certified, High-Grade Nickels
Here you have a rare opportunity to own not one, but THREE Jefferson Nickel off-center errors from the Denver Mint from consecutive years—1999, 2000 and 2001—each certified, graded and authenticated by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC), one of the world’s leading third-party grading services. Off-center error coins are produced when a blank planchet is struck once, off-center, near the edge. This results in coins which are not circular, but that have a freakish appearance, with various amounts of visible blank planchet space. This three-piece set consists of a 1999 D 65% off-center error in Choice Uncirculated Mint State-64 (MS64) condition; a 2000-D 55% off-center error in Gem Uncirculated Mint State-65 (MS65) condition; and a 2001 60% off-center error in Choice Uncirculated Mint State-63 (MS63) condition.
We have only THREE of these amazing sets available, so if you want one of them, act fast!
