1909–1938 Small Change Double Date Transition Set VG–F
Take Your Coins on a Double Date
On several occasions, the U.S. Mint has ended one series and begun the next in the same year. These occasions have resulted in something very special—two coins of the same denomination, struck the same year, but with completely different designs! We’ve put together three such examples of these “double date” sets for this offer.
Your set includes:
- 1909 last-year Indian Head Cent and first-year Lincoln Cent
- 1938 last-year Buffalo Nickel and 1938 first-year Jefferson Nickel
- 1916 last-year Barber Dime and first-year Mercury Dime.
That’s three last-year issues and three first-year issues, all in one set! Each coin comes in Very Good to Fine (VG–F) condition and housed in a round capsule. The set will come beautifully displayed in a deluxe presentation case.
