The death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022 set in motion a transformation in world coinage not seen in 70 years. • In 1998, a more mature portrait of Her Majesty designed by Ian Rank-Broadley was unveiled. It appears in this set on the Copper-Nickel 50-cent coin that measures 31.51 mm in diameter.
• Her final portrait designed by Jody Clark was unveiled in 2015 and depicted Her Majesty wearing the Diamond Diadem. It appears in this set on the Aluminum-Bronze $1 coin that measures 25 mm in diameter.
