• 1943 Lincoln Steel Cent—the Steel Pennies Helped America Win WWII. During WWII, the military used copper for everything from shell casings to radio wire. To ensure a steady supply of copper, the U.S. Mint halted copper cents and issued special steel Lincoln Cents—but for just one year: 1943! These “Steelies’ are popular with collectors and are difficult to locate. The ones in this set come in Very Good to Very Fine (VG–VF) condition.
• 1930–1939 Wheat Cent. Designed by Victor David Brenner, the Lincoln Cent was originally issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s birth and was the first coin to depict the likeness of an actual person. For the first 50 years of its run, the coins were called “Wheat-Back Cents” for the wheat ears that appeared on the reverse. The ones in this set come in Good to Extremely Fine (G–XF) condition. Dates will vary.
• 1957 $1 Silver Certificate. In 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order 1110, slowly halting the production of $1 Silver Certificates. That means the 1957 Series was the final year of the $1 Silver Certificates. These federally issued notes were as good as a silver dollar in your pocket—in fact, that was exactly their purpose: These notes could be taken into a bank and traded for a silver dollar. This one comes in Very Fine (VF) condition.
• Declaration of Independence Commemorative. Own a facsimile of the Declaration of Independence written by Thomas Jefferson in 1776. It’s America’s most cherished document and it belongs in every home. This piece is a striking 8½" x 11" reproduction of the original document complete with the full text. It’s perfect for every American and makes a perfect gift for any youngster just learning about our nation’s great history!
• 1934 $100,000 Gold Certificate Commemorative Print. The $100,000 Gold Certificate from 1934 returns as a commemorative print. The original banknote featured intricate details with gold accents with the obverse displaying President Woodrow Wilson along with a distinct reverse decorated with vibrant orange for the border. Most of these notes were destroyed but now you can own a facsimile of one of these historic bills as a frame-worthy piece of art!
