World War II-Era Lincoln Cents

What a score! We’ve recently come into possession of a number of beautiful Lincoln Wheatback Cents certified by NGC in Mint State-66 Red (MS66 RD) condition. These coins come dated between 1942 and 1947 — years during and just after World War II. These are the coins that sat (gently, from their condition) in the pockets of Americans who spent their days reading about the Battle of Midway, D-Day, and Jackie Robinson’s debut in major league baseball.

Each Lincoln Cent available in this offer is a 1944-P Lincoln Cent struck at the Philadelphia Mint. Plus, each has been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as being in impressive Gem Uncirculated Mint State-66 (MS66) condition. Additionally, NGC has certified these coins as Red (RD) copper pennies, a designation that really locks down their status as high-grade coins.

A Red designation is applied only to high-grade copper pennies that retain at least 95 percent of their original red color on their surfaces. When copper coins are first struck, they have a brilliant reddish-orange color. Over time that red color will begin to turn brown. The color of vintage pennies and other copper coins is graded on a continuous scale of Red (RD), Red Brown RB) and Brown (BN).

We only have a limited stock of these high-grade coins, so get yours now!
