Clad Half Dollar Obverse: Portrays a contemporary Marine next to a continental Marine along with the inscriptions "250 YEARS OF HONOR, COURAGE, AND COMMITMENT, USMC," "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the dates "1775-2025."
Each coin shares a common reverse design that features the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor, which make up the Marine Corps official emblem, along with the inscriptions "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "THE FEW, THE PROUD," and the respective denomination.
U.S. Marine Corps Commemorative Coin Mintages
One of the most exciting aspects for collectors is the limited mintage of these coins. Public Law 118-10 states strict production limits that state no more than 50,000 $5 gold, 400,000 silver dollars, and 750,000 clad half-dollar coins, including both proof and uncirculated finishes, may be struck.
Supporting Marine Corps Heritage
As outlined in Public Law 118-10, the U.S. Mint's coin prices will include a surcharge, which will go towards impactful programs at the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation to help support the Marine Corps Heritage Center.
The surcharges are facilitated by the U.S. Mint and include $10 for silver dollars, $5 for clad half dollars, and $35 for $5 gold coins.
